| Who We've Helped |

|
Chloe from Chopwell
Seven year old Chloe has uncontrolled epilepsy which can result in up to 90 drop seizures a day. She also suffers autism and as such can not bear to be touched during these attacks. Mum and Dad have to stand by helplessly and watch as she regularly breaks and fractures bones. Chloe, who requires 24 hour care, spent last Christmas in hospital with a broken nose. Just for Kids furnished Chloe’s bedroom with safe soft play flooring and special sensory equipment to help calm her and limit epileptic attacks. |
Alan and Wayne’s Big Day Out!
In August Metro Radio stars Alan Robson and Wayne enjoyed a fun filled trip to Metroland with 1,500 disadvantaged children from across the North East. Everyone enjoyed unlimited park rides, a McDonald’s lunch and chocolate from Newcastle! Ashleigh from South Tyneside said “It was the bestest day I had ever!” |
Tyneside Recreational Club for the Blind
This organisation provides a varied programme of sport, social and leisure activities tailored to meet the needs of the blind and visually impaired children. Just for Kids purchased specially adapted sporting equipment including a railed trampoline, brailed building blocks and ‘noisy’ footballs. |
Daniel from Sunderland
16 year old Daniel has cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair. Just for Kids bought a computer with specially adapted assistance aids and voice recognition facilities to not only help with Daniel’s education and communicative needs but to also offer him independence. |
