We were all seeing stars as Alexander O’Neal jetted in from America to give an exclusive performance at the Just for Kids charity Fall Ball. The soul legend starred alongside Lucie Silvas and Simon Webbe at the event which raised over £70,000 for disabled and disadvantaged children across the North East.

Mill Volvo sponsored the Just for Kids charity golf day at Matfen Hall and we saw swingers from across the region pitching and putting their way around the course. The evening prize presentation hosted by Magic 1152 breakfast show presenter Steve Colman and Premiership Referee Jeff Winter helped sink over £23,000 for the charity.

Promotions Team 909 Company challenged the Metro Radio Allstars to a charity football match and put the presenters to shame! Lucky Shaun Abbot bought a raffle ticket at half time and on the final whistle drove home in a brand new Nissan Micra kindly donated by Benfield Motors.
